about

Revenir is an experience about rawness and unlearning. Didacte let this project build itself within the last months, capturing moments only when the expression urge was knocking at the door: in a meditation hall after a retreat in Spain’s Bask Country, or while contemplating a contemporary dance performance for example. Improvisations were usually a source of inspiration for him, one step of the creative process. But he became more and more convinced that some of the improvised takes should exist as they were. Raw, honest, direct. Revenir is a trace of what was and wanted to be.

When we come back (Revenir) to what we are, to what we were as a child, to what is beyond our personality and behind the filters, automatism and rigidities we built along our lives, we re-discover the wild rhythm of reality; that everything is dawning and dying around us, that everything is in constant transformation (Katarina Kyrkogård). And, from this new origin, we start seeing things as they are, and the beauty and energy of impermanence re-emerges (L’Après). Words lose strength, and we even perceive the sound and musicality hidden behind their meaning (Maoe). Words as vibrations. Words as tones. In the end, we simply let go of the process, let go of these deep sentences, of these concepts, and slowly interrupt the analysis of what happened to us. We suddenly forget our past, and who we thought we were, to just and simply be (Olvidar).

Revenir is set to release on the 2nd of April on digital format, with artwork by Jordan Amy Lee (www.instagram.com/jordanamylee).
